If I had this in my collection, scooby, it'd TOTALLY be yours right now!

A-Contest-Contest

But since you did make it to Disney Land...this would be the one you'd win since you proved it with a photo:

Now, talking about photos of far off places...check out this thread where I did post some photos from the air over the southern most tip of South America.

Scooby...did I win the contest contest?

Last night, after posting, I got to thinking, this could be a two-phase contest. Again, it's your contest, so you can do/modify as it pleases you...but something along these lines:
Phase one: Members post a personal photo with NO country ID but has enough visual information so someone can investigate it's location (location and location hints are shared with you via PM) and then they get a coin.
Phase two: Those photos (whose countries remain anonymous) must be IDed by forum members which would finish off your great world coin give away.

Example: I'd be REALLY impressed if someone could ID the photos I posted in the other thread IF I hadn't already given away their general location.

Or something like that...

I'm not quite willing to declare anything like that yet! BUT, I love that Scooby coin! I gotta get me one! Just for posting that, I'll send you a Scooby Snack.

PM me with your address and the top 3, 4 or 5 countries that you'd like to have something from and I'll see what I've got.

Gorgeous pics in that thread!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed those photos. That was a pretty far-out trip. I might be tempted to post more later.

Thought you'd like that scooby coin!! ;)

I found that scooby coin for sale. PM sent with it's location.

Bummer - the Scooby coin sold. The reverse said "RUH-ROH Tails!".

I'll have to keep my eye out for another one.

Scooby, you have inspired me to go the extra mile in my latest numismatic quest.

I took some photos and wrote up a little report regarding a hacienda in Central Mexico that is supposed to be the origin of my avatar.

Here is a quick preview:

I got a good one, A mega millions roll over. Everyone picks 6 numbers (5 numbers must be 1-56) and then the power ball (1-46) Example...12,19,31,45,52,PB 8 Every time your number comes out in the weekly drawing you eliminate it. First one to eliminate all their numbers in the predetermined time line wins. Its great cause you can get to your last number and not have it come out for weeks. And someone with 4 numbers left can hit the next week. The trick is getting the power ball right. or you can box all numbers so the power ball becomes the 6th 1-56 pick, a lot of fun.

maybe you could use the songlyric/movie angle, with a twist.....the twist is finding the song/movie that involves the most or least money.
For example...trailer for sale or rent, rooms to let fifty cents...is good for fifty cents/just imagine if you could find a movie with a song about money.
That's my 2 cents

Im not sure how good you are with computers, but it would be kool if you could photo-shop a coin and do a "whats wrong with this coin" contest. Make people really think, research, and study the coins........could get pretty interesting depending how good someone is with the photo-shopping
*or find online pictures of fake coins and make people say what details are wrong to make the coin a known fake*

This doesn't really help your problem I don't think but I like the idea I remember from A muppet movie
The fragles sang a song called "pass it on"
you get a gift and you pass it on to someone else. In stead of passing on the same thing though you pass on something of yours
Randomly pick a user who comments on something you are reading, or posts something you are into. Send them a message, make sure they are up for the game and send a package. They in turn do the same.
This is a cool way to send people who are helping you on the forum a little thank you.
If you aren't gonna choose this idea let me know because I think I will start it.
Also if you are trying to liquidate extras my little brother is just starting out collecting and is crazy about it. He is 11 and goes to all the coin shows with his favorite older brother. (thats me)
He loves all coins and is filling folders with roll finds just like me.
My mom won't let him on he computer too much or I'd have him make an account.
Anyways...hope the contest goes well whatever it is.
