Not really. I haven't seen any sell yet. Anybody else see one sell?

October 21, 2010, 20:38, Torex October Auction...

ICCS VF30 1909 5c round lv, cross/bow tie sold for $3300 + $594 buyer's premium + taxes (~ $4300).

Yours may be a EF40...however, with more examples now known, the price might drop a bit.

Still a fantastic coin to have. Where did you find it? :)

I'd have that certified.

I really don't know where I got it. It was just stashed away with my collection until last year when this variety was discovered. I went through my stuff..and bingo, I found one. Yes, it will be certified soon.

Wow, impressive! This is a coin I have a chance finding here--very few dealers look for varieties.

This is a very scarce coin. I have one as well, not quite as high a grade as shown in the pick. There are about 10-20 now known. Whatever the number settles in at, it is a very scarce coin to be sure.;

I finally got around to getting it certified. As you can see it came back AU50. I know more and more are coming out of the wood work, but I would like to know what the highest grade is so far. Also would love to know if any others have changed hands.

awesome find! If I were you, I would sell it now. I think interest in this coin has already peaked, and is on the downward slide, unfortunately. I know that there is someone on the forum who has atleast a dozen of these. It would be interesting to know if he has one in AU or better...

WOW! I just checked the 2011 ICCS population report, and the highest graded was a mere EF-40. You could have the highest certified example by ICCS. Congrats! It would be interesting to see what would happen if this was put into a major auction.

I know of 4 higher than AU in ICCS flips. Non-attributed, that is why ICCS pop reports are not reliable for much.

perhaps they were graded before they were "discovered". The owners of those coins should resubmit them. I don't believe they are as rare as first thought, but they will still be pretty hard to come by.
