I wouldn't bother with this if it wasn't one of the only three known examples ... but it kinda fits the bill! Shilling of Charles I from around June 1635. Spink 2793 Sharp E1/3 The plume above the shield on the reverse shows it was struck from silver mined in Wales. Just enough detail to show it's obverse #1 rather than the commoner obv #2. .

I notice on various posts throughout the forum that a number of members actual collect PO01 US coins because of their historical interest. Do collectors also like collecting the worn copper and brass coins?

Not sure if this is the worst, but it is certainly one in the league: In case you don't recognise it, the obverse is the left picture.

Okay, I will not get too mad at Bas S Warwick for resurrecting this three year old topic since there have been some nice additions to the thread (especially the one Bas added).

Bolivia 1819 from my 300 country collection. I have much better technical grade coins but I just love the character of this one. So many miles, imagine the stories it could tell.

I found this 1885? GB Victoria Bun Penny this week - this must be in my top 5 of my worn coins. The date has almost gone. Would this be graded as AG3?

US Liberty head nickel, 1883-1913 (God forbid 1913.) Worn. Not corroded, left in the road or dug up with a power drill. My guess is that may be due to slot machines. But in the spirit of full disclosure, it may have been cleaned.

I have plenty of worn-out coins - lowballs are my passion. The rarest in my collection is the only PCGS certified PO01 Walking Liberty half dollar ... There are over 360,000 PCGS certified Walkers - this coin is unique as the only PO01. Enjoy David
