Good for you, Adam! You have the makings of a fine dealer, so keep up the good work. If I had your wherewithal at the same age, I'd have a topch notch collection of classic US silver and gold by now, instead of getting distracted by other seemingly more 'important' things.

Nice but I wouldn't have paid that much money...

well, I got the best deal I could, and this was the one, and I still probably would have preferred a 70 over a 69, because I really like to have a coin that is a: "wow this really is a perfect coin!" not: "Wow this would be a perfect coin, but its too bad it has the carbon spot/milk spot/ect."

Way to go!! My hat off to ya. This is one that I must have in my colletion. Best of the Best Modern hands down IMHO. Theirs so much to love about them. Are you planing on adding the other 2 in 70 as well. Think that would be awsome if you did. Perfect coin to buy for the love of it. I must admit a little envy on my part. lol Great Job! Lets see some pics!

I am guessing it was so much because of the grade because last time I checked the whole set wasn't 4x the original cost from the mint, But I agree I have always liked this design and this one year reverse Proof has always appealed to me as well, I guess that's why I bought so many when the sets were for sale at the mint

That is a beautiful coin! But can someone tell me why it costs so much? isn't it still one ounce of silver?

The 2006 Reverse Silver Eagle Proof was the first reverse silver proof issued by the mint. It was one of three that came in the 20th Anniversary set and the set sold for $100. Only 250,000 sets were minted and sold, sold out in 2 weeks.
This one happens to be graded PERFECT and I have no doubt it is.

That is a good deal for the Reverse Proof in a 70. I bought 15 of these sets when they first came out, and opened the first 5 without know so they dont qualify, but the other 10 sets didnt disappoint.

I thought PCGS and NGC published populations of their graded coins? I think I saw those figures on the PCGS website when I used to have a subscription. Does NGC publish those numbers? I suspect that the population of the 2006 Reverse Silver Eagle Proof in PF70 is fairly small between NGC and PCGS. Does anyone have those numbers? or can you give us a link where we could look them up?
I think you made a wise investment. One day it will payoff very, very, nice. You were all ready "in the money" when you purchased it.

I can't find where NGC publishes how many PF70s they graded for each coin and year. I can find it on PCGS.
Here is your cert info:
