Man! I've been trying to find, buy, beg or steal one of those for years. Color me jealous.

Riggy, you are probably about to get spanked by the mods. New members can't offer to sell until 250 posts. I think the values range from about $25 to $75

That's pretty cool. I had never heard of this before. It's kinda like the Paris Hilton of nickels. Paris Hilton is proof that if you do nothing long enough you will get famous for it. With these nickels if you hold onto a worthless counterfeit nickel long enough it becomes valuable..

I've just about given up trying to find one. I constantly ask at coin shows if anyone has one but never can find one yet. Too bad he didn't continue making them. If he did by now he would be really rich since they are worth way more than a nickel.

Nice circulation find of an interesting piece of USA coinage history.

I'm still looking for one as well ... after 256,000 nickel searched.

I've searched 57,000 nickels... but I can't really determine the hennings except for the missing mint mark for the 1944. So I may have one in my stash (doubt it).

I dream about owning a set... I know I don't have a '44, but maybe I should look over the other dates I have (I keep all pre-1960) for any funny business.
