I've seen one on ebay but it looked beat up and the photos weren't of good enough quality to convince me that is what it was.

Upon first viewing the coin my hackles went up thinking it was photoshopped, and got a good chuckle. This is a neat varitey but doubt I'll ever see one in hand. Very sweet!

I notice that the larger reverse die crack at 5 o'clock is on a number of examples I have seen, but not on all of them.

So hypothetically, that should mean more will be found, with a progressive die crack at various stages?

SPP, I have only seen with the die crack at 5. None without.

Maybe it is just the lighting of the photography? I see a bit of it on the G-6 example. The better example in the PCGS population report doesn't seem to jump out at us.

I saw that one about 2 months ago on PCGS pop report but had no idea where it was until the auction. I suspected it whould sell for top price for a Vicky five cent piece in trends. Nailed it?
