Are all of the other silver washingtons around ms 60 to 63 range? it makes a difference if they are all circulated.

Yeah, the condition of the washingtons from the 30's will determine this. Several issues are worth hundreds of dollars each in BU, but are worth maybe double melt value even in VF. If the set is all BU say average 63 for the silvers, 63+ clads, and decent looking proofs I think its worth well over $3000.
The 36-D is more valuable than the 32-S at a certain grade range, at around $500 - $800, but is worth about $25 in VF

A complete BU set would be worth much more than 3000. You are going have to make sure the '32-D,S, '34-D and '36-D are all genuine. Make sure all the coins, especially the ones from the 30's, are all BU and not slider AU's.

I'd get any coin worth more than a couple hundred bucks graded and certified as a condition of the sale. For $3000 its worth being cautious.

Also, where are you purchasing the coins from? dealer, friend, craigslist, etc. may make a difference. Also I would try to offer like $2600 or more to see if you can haggle at all.

Well if it has all the big die errors too like 34 DDO, all the different mottos of 34, a 37 DDO, the 42 DDO and DDR, plus the 50 D/S and the 50 S/D this set is worth well well wellllllll over 3k even if the whole set was just AU-50 If its missing all the big errors then everything expecially the rarer dates MUST be MS60 or better for you to be getting a OK deal. |

How far back do the proofs go?

I am going to examine it closely later this week but yes they all are supposed to be ms 60 or better.... No errors in there but supposedly proofs and all others.... Been contemplating stopping my Morgan attempt and putting those funds towards this... No way I'll ever be able to get a ms set of morgans, this qtr set will be one to hold on to....

UPDATE Everyone - help please : Did more research and it appears everything is MS 60 or better with 2 exceptions... the 1935d and 1936d are AU, prob around 50 or so.... What are your thoughts now? Thanks!
