tonight's major score wasn't cash or coins, as I picked only fifty-six cents. there's a Pizza Hut across the street from a bank where I feed a kitty. I roll past it every night. I had just fed that kitty and was leaving the bank property. as I crossed the street and approached the Hut I saw a tidy stack of boxes on the hand rails & knew what it was, so I stopped to examine it. I read the receipt stuck to the pizza box: 1 medium cheese pizza w/stuffed crust, 6-piece chicken wings w/sweet chili sauce and an order of cinnamon breadsticks w/a small tub of icing, and it was all still warm! fresh! thirty bucks-worth of grub! everything was still sealed shut in the boxes & container. that was about 12:30am; the Hut closes at midnight. that order of food was supposed to have been delivered to Rick's bar downtown. I don't know why it wasn't. or maybe it was & no one was there to receive it & maybe it came back to the Hut. I don't know, but I scored. a little while later I also scored a 16.9oz bottle of publix purified water, unopened. so... food, water & some change tonight. deal! |

would you believe another $5 score?   plus a pile of change some kind soul left for me atop an air-vac:  $5.86 on the night. I picked 13 nickels tonight, one of them a 1947:   cycle 22 sits at $73. $71 to go to achieve $5K.  getting closer and closer. |
