rhunyor New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 10/24/2011 2:43 pm Hi There! I just came across an impressive piece of currency. I'd like your opinion on. I've been trying to find a relative value on this piece and have been unable to find anything like it. As you can see, there is a fold on the right going from top to bottom through the serial number. The note is mis-aligned on both sides (front and back), the back is more off center than the front. Also, on the back, there is slight bleed through. Any information you can provide would be very helpful! Report this Post to the Staff

Buddy Rest in Peace United States 7075 Posts	Posted 10/24/2011 3:10 pm I'm no expert on how money is printed but I have some experience with newspaper presses and that unprinted part of the bill looks like an error caused by the paper having a bit of a fold in it as it ran through the press. This would somewhat explain why the print is more shifted on the reverse than the obverse. A certain amount of that kind of shift occurs frequently although not to such a great extent as in your bill. Report this Post to the Staff

I suspected the fold occured going through the press, most of what I've seen happens at the corners or at the bottom, I've been hard pressed (no pun intended) on finding one that goes through the bill like this one, also, the shift on the rear is pretty extreme in my opinion. rickmp Valued Member United States 64 Posts	Posted 10/25/2011 11:48 am I think it is quite unusual as it went through all three printings with the one fold. A keeper for sure! Value?
