My buddy seems to think there is a site/place where you can see if the NGC slabbed coins with NGC numbers can be checked out to make sure they are genuine, not fakes and you can register the coins.
Does anybody have info on such a place if in-fact there is one? How do I get to it? OR is he wrong or day dreaming? Any help would be appreciated thank you. gasman96

That's the right place.
Go to their Home page and click on the NGC collectors tab at the top. You can join for free and get access to alot of information, or join one of the higher levels for other benefits.

I love all the free to join site about collecting/grading and so on. I like ngc more than pcgs.

All that and a lot more are on the PCGS web site but many find it difficult to navigate to find it all. And with almost 34,000 active members, there are, or should be, a real lot of possible information available. However, quantity of members is only important if normal people.

I prefer NGC also - PCGS seems to want to charge $$ for pretty much everything.

I like the NGC registry accepts PCGS coins. However I find the PCGS slabs more attractive. At the end of the day I suppose both are very good services, but I don't buy enough raw coins to justify joining either.

I prefer the NGC slabs as well, primarily for the four finger "edge view" inserts.
