New acquisition: F-256/433. Horrors of War/Blessings of Peace. Lots of luster. Love this creepy design.

Stumbled across this dormant thread while trying to figure out where to post my newly-photographed Civil War Token. I believe this one is a Rulau/Fuld 224 obv with 326 rev pairing, but would be happy for any gentle corrections on this attribution:

Just picked up this Michigan CWT from a coin dealers junk box a few days ago.
4.94g, 18.5mm, and 2.0mm thick.

Well, many surprises awaited once I found out what I had! Second rarest Michigan CWT after the famous Saranac MI tokens, and was estimated by David Perkins to have only 8 known from the Detroit saloonist Frederick Behr.
Obverse:
Bear standing up and holding and spilling beer out of a mug.
Reverse:
Wreath made of half holly, half wheat under a bowling ball and pin.

@ Jerry Picker .... This, being a decent, mid-grade sutler token, would have a minimum value of $250, methinks. For comparison, I recently purchased two sutler tokens, one at a show and another on ebay, for that same price. One was from PA in AU+ condition and the other was from KY in FINE condition.

Prices can vary greatly. You can check comps at the top auction houses. Of course, prices realized can always range from sublime to ridiculous.

Here's a case on point .... Just this past week, I spotted a rare counterstamp on ebay. I lodged a snipe bid that exceeded $300. I won it for $16. Needless to say, I'm elated.
