I found this in a roll this evening and it appears the mint mark is clipped. I think it's a S. Thoughts?

I did not think of that but it would make sense. I just thought it was odd and maybe an error or mis-stamp.

It's a cool roll find. Looks like a crude attempt at making it look like a 14-D.

Looked like an 'S' that someone took the top part off trying to make a "D".

That's my opinion too. Although it could be a D over backward S.
Or an entirely new Mint only now discovered.

Looks like Egyptian hieroglyphics were also used for mint marks?
