I have a silly question. I was cataloging my notes and I noticed in the book I have, the newer notes have bank designations. How do you tell what bank they are from?

Is this one from New York because it starts with a B in the serial number or is it from Richmond because of the small E on the left corner?

$10-Star-Note-Question

Thanks for any help....

Tim

The second letter of the serial number, along with the letter/number in the upper left corner is the district indicator. So you have a note from the 4th District (D) which is Cleveland.

yeah its the second letter, if you look at other 10$ from the same year they will all have the first letter the same, like with yours its a b, there may also be a a or c just depends on when they were made
