Have an earlier thread in here where som members was concered it was a counterfeit doe to the surface. Now, when I have it in my hands, it looks all good to me, nothing out of the ordinary. Will weigh it tomorrow though to confirm.

So how will you grade it? My amateur grading skills and online comparisons want to make it a VF35...

Much better pics than your 1st post. I'm not an expert on counterfeits but it looks good to me. Nice low mintage (712,000). I agree with your VF-35 and you only paid VG $. I will defer to the experts whether it's real or not. For the members who thought it was a cast fake, can you post a pic of the edge?

I went back an took a look at previous post and the coin under that lighting does look like a cast counterfeit but in these pictures it looks just fine. I also agree with the VF-35 grade. Nice coin!

This was my first venture into US coinage territory...
We were spot on on the grade

NGC graded this as VF35

I agree, coin looks spot on for a VF 35 - hard to tell
if the surfaces are original from the images.

Regardless - its a key date - and I know many who'd
love to own it.
