While assembling my US commemorative collection, I also actively pursued related numismatic literature in the form of reference books, dealer publications, expert guides, analyst's market reports, collector's guides, dealer price lists, etc. Over the years, I have come to assemble a fairly extensive library on the topic and continue to look for interesting items to add to it.

As a Friday "bonus" post, I thought I'd post a few pages from the 1935 Scott Stamp & Coin Company Standard Price List of United States Coins. This volume was published just before things got crazy in the commemorative field and the boom market ensued. I always enjoy looking back at yesteryear in the hobby, though others might enjoy it as well.

Please note, I offer no guarantees that the listed prices will still be honored.

Enjoy!

Boy what I wouldn't give to see prices on those coins still like that for a few minutes. Especially the Grant w/star, Isabella Quarter and the Hawaii. Thanks for this interesting weekend post!

I wish I could go back in time and buy them at that price.

I'd probably buy 10 of each then.
