Do these brown lines actually have a name and is that trail dies under the T & E in STATES...thanks!

See that a lot, on 1985,and 1987 Lincolns, other dates from the 80's too but I seem to find a lot of the 85 and 87.

The streaking looks like an improper alloy mixture (sometimes referred to as a "Woodie" for the woodgrain effect). Don't know about any die trails.
