Either it just went higher which happens on ebay or it fetched a premium for looking great which often happens with the clean white coins. It could also be that these coins dont appear that often so they just go for higher than they should according to their mintages but I'm not familiar enough with that coin to know if that happened here or not

looks like the last 5 that were on heritage in this grade went from 276 to 333.50. It does look like a nice coin for the grade but that's closer to 64 money. This date tends to take drastic jumps from one grade to the next.

63? Great pics, and that coin has a serious shot at 65, much less 64. The winning bidder has 3700 Feedbacks - no newbie - and I'm guessing the same thing is on his mind.

The winner also has a 81% bid activity with this seller. I was also surprised as it was on my watch list and I generally like this seller. Who knows ?

After seeing the real pics I would be kind of ticked if I got that coin instead of what it looked like in the ebay pictures

Quote: The winner also has a 81% bid activity with this seller. That's in the last 30 days. The buyer has made 11 bids on 3 different coins, 9 of which were for this coin alone. 81% of his total bids. Quote:After seeing the real pics I would be kind of ticked if I got that coin instead of what it looked like in the ebay pictures I wouldn't call NGC's images "good," or "gradable." Heck, there are marks on the coin which show in the auction and not NGC's images. Dunno if I'd have gone 64 money for this one, but I'd darn sure have gone at the top end of 63 for it and planned a crackout.

Yeah I would have jumped in on this one around 400 to 425 and cracking it out.....however at that money I'd rather hop over to heritage and pick up a guaranteed 64.

If it did look like the ebay ones Id crack it out too. If it looked like the NGC photos and he was using those doctored up ones on ebay it would be on the next postal truck right back to the seller just from the toning alone. I love the bright white clean look and almost always only go for coins like that. I cant stand ebay sellers that doctor the lighting to make a coin look that way and then get something thats toned because its not in the perfect light settings.

That's where a bit of experience in imaging coins comes in handy - it's pretty easy for me to see the ebay photos weren't doctored. Not that lighting couldn't be hiding problems, even with images of that quality, but I'd still probably have jumped.

Would have been interesting to know which images ended up being closer to the in hand look. Maybe its just me but I'm more in the camp of if I'm going to pay 64 money anyway Ill just try and find one I really like that already says 64. For a just a little over 63 money though I would have resent it in though

It is a very nice coin but I just can't see enough of a physical difference between this MS-64+ CAC and the MS-63 CAC in the post above it to justify the huge difference in price. I do like the toned dollar over the blast white one however. Ed ANA LM-3175

I do like the toned dollar over the blast white one however. Im the opposite which is probably why I like that one better. But I do agree considering that one will be more than 1000 more if not thousands more and I would stay with the 63 unless I had an unlimited budget
