1952 Jeff, Die Chip? - Coin Community Forum

Jaymon74 Pillar of the Community United States 844 Posts	Posted 09/27/2012 7:50 pm I have two Jeffs with this same kind of "die chip"? the one on top is a 1952. The one on bottom is a 1958 D, The place on both is on the top right portion of the Monticello. Let me know if my assessment is correct. Here is a closer view of the 58 D. I try not to get too excited about them when they are worn coins because the possible causes of PMD outnumber the possible causes for mint error. It does make me wonder just what happened. It almost looks like the was a bit of a shove just south of the glob but the glob seems disproportionately large for that. Report this Post to the Staff

I am not certain, however, I feel fairly certain somebody would have corrected me if I was wrong....(I hope). So, sorry, I guess it's just damage.
