My only quibble with it is, although you are correct in saying it is coast to coast, it does not make it onto Vancouver Island, whereas the nuthatch does

Very valid point Rob. I think all we need to do now is move to a birding forum and talk coins.

I just received my Evening Grosbeak coin today. This is my first Bird Series 25cents coin, but definitely won't be my last. It is very nice, I am very satisfied. Doing a quick search I found the Mint has released one for Cardinal in 2008, too bad I missed that one, that is a bird that I love.

You will have to wait until the next 2 coins come out for the latest 2 to gain much value unless they have low COA's there are still some available at the mint so until they are sold out there is no profit to be made. I am sitting on about 100 different bird coins right now and still stockpiling more.

Rose breasted grosbeak is now sold out at the mint. The Evening grosbeak is sitting around 93% sold now. New one should be arriving in the next couple months I would guess.

No doubt, nearly all big dealers have them on sales for below 25$ each around Christmas. The market for these coins will be quiet for a long time....

In fact CA is having the Rose-Breasted Grosbeak on sales for 25.75$ now, and they have plenty in stock.

It is a buyer's market now.
