If you look at how the top of the E shows shiny copper that is an indicator it took a hit from something like a coin machine etc PMD

I suppose that the hit was hard enough to make the letters uneven. It does looks like the 'E' slid toward the center. However, I don't think that's possible.

Actually the W is closer to the edge then any of the other letters on the penny the E may have been struck but the W is actually the oddball ill post another pic

Compare it to others of the same date and MM,it's normal.
