So my dad got me a 1929 2.5 dollar gold coin for christmas. I know that there are fakes of these but he bought it from a friend.. but anyways I was going to send it in to ANACs to get graded but I don't know how that works at all. Do I ship it in a 2x2 in a bubble envelope? Kind of a noob when it comes to this so any help is appreciated. Also as long as I'm asking about it ill post pics and I want to hear opinions on what you all think it would grade. (Pics are not the best sorry - iPhone)

Ignore the yellowish stains on the reverse, those are on the 2x2 (Sorry again about the pictures, they're the best I could do)

Excellent Xmas present!! . Hopefully Santa stops by my house and leaves me one of those, lol. For grade, I'm not sure, it's hard to get detail with an iPhone and with the invert strike (or however it's called) I wouldn't dare guess.. Looks nice to me though from what I can see/tell! Someone will probably be able to give you a better idea though. On a side note how do you upload 2 different photos from your iPhone in a row? I can only do one a day from mine and if I upload another it changes all prior photos uploaded that day to the last one...

I didn't upload them directly from my iPhone, I cheated and sent them to my email

Hard to tell, but it looks below MS to me, leading me to ask why you'd like it graded? If that's just what you'd like to do, then great and the ANACS web site will provide all the submission info you'd need. If you're looking for an authenticity check, then a trip to your LCS or two might suffice and also get you a grade opinion or two. Nice piece of Depression Era gold and a wonderful present from dad.

I don't see any wear on the cheekbone, but I go back and forth on whether I do on the headdress. I'll throw out a 58-60 as a guess and hope I'm low.
As for the grading submission, just follow the web instructions. There are more than a few regarding shipping, packaging and insurance.
Good luck with the grade and again, what a great present from dad. Just think of all the people that wished they had that back in 1929.

Be sure to purchase insurance when you send it in for grading!
