coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 03/08/2013 4:10 pm the area SE of chin may be a weakness in the plating/oil or water on the die/or something else but zincolns are made from zinc and plated. Laminations are on copper planchets. The metal is laminated/pressed together. Some something may have happened to you coin during or after it was struck. Hard to say as it doesn't add any value to the coin. But the marks in the center may have been from coin contact (called bag marks or during circulation) or from something that was struck onto the bust of your coin. I don't see a premium for this. But if you are like me, I always want to know what happened. Report this Post to the Staff
