I wouldn't do this to a coin of importance, like this one IMO. But it's done. And to tell you the truth, I think it looks pretty good. Good enough to me to buy it! I saw this coin on another forum. Someone there suggested that it might be counterfeit. I've thought about buying some ASEs and painting them. Jerry Report this Post to the Staff

CiScO Valued Member United States 458 Posts	Posted 06/18/2005 03:05 am Well I can tell ya that it is way over priced--Mark my words, ain't nobody in their right mind gonna over pay for a ruined coin--This gold indian now has 2 flaws, looks like it has been cleaned, and now its been painted--a double whammy, add to that the jacked up price, only a noob, or a jewelry collector will buy it--I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.. As you all are aware, nowadays unfortunately there have been many coins cleaned, whizzed or repaired--Many will not be slabbed by TPG's except for maybe anacs, but these coins? they will never see the inside of a slab and in my opinion are now ruined--Now if they have already been damaged, at this point, if you are owner do what you want, but mark my words, a true collector won't touch those coins with a ten foot pole--unless it is as a novelty item--it is sad tho I agree Report this Post to the Staff
