Ben Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 4208 Posts	Posted 03/15/2013 6:17 pm This one could have been issued by Magnus Maximus or Flavius Victor - I cant read it, but if you can make it out in hand it should be easy enough to tell from the surviving legend. Flavius victor is 130 on the rarity scale (!!) so I hope its him. http://www.tesorillo.com/aes/119/119i.htm I sometimes use Tesorillo - its pretty good, it lists reverse types from about constantine onwards and who issued them and varieties. augustus1 Pillar of the Community United States 549 Posts	Posted 03/16/2013 11:39 am For late Roman AE, Valentinian (AD 364ff) and later, you can go to http://esty.ancients.info/ricix/ Identify the reverse type from the images of all of them, and click on the image page to try to make a match with the emperor.
