Ive been talking to a guy about getting some coins (good pricing, nice selection, its going pretty well - some nice types) and he sent me some pictures of the coins he has available. I'm currently in negotiations for a small pile of them.

Anyway...what do I see in the top corner of one of the pictures? Why, its a Macrinus Denarius I sold just a few weeks ago. I'm quite tempted to buy it back. I mark the flips of every coin I sell - hopefully its still in the flip and will stay like that through its sales. Some day Iw ant to buy back a marked flip.

Pretty funny. Shows what a relatively small world we're in as ancient collectors.

Might be good for a laugh to buy it back, just this one... don't go making a habit of it!

I sold a nice Alexandrian tetradrachm of Hadrian with a Nilus reverse, back in the mid 1970's. I bought it back from an auction about 20 years later.

I lost 'supposedly', a coin sent in the post as the buyer said he had not received it and it had not been sent recorded because he said he didnt want that service. I saw it for sale at a coin fair, he had sold it to a dealer. Sometimes its not funny when you find your coins again ...........
