Hi Folks, Please correct me on any misspelled words, wrong I.D.'s , calling an obverse a reverse and vice versa! I swiped most of these photo's from the actual auction. I then cropped and retitled a lot of of them. Some photo's are crummy and I will do them again at a later date. I have a lot to learn about these coins so any info you have on them will be appreciated! Thanks, Mike

I have a question....

Where did you find your Fugio cent?

I'm on the look out for a dealer...my dealer has a friend that wants one that is at least F...he doesn't get on the computer much and asked me to watch for him...so far I have seen a few but most are $$$$$ or are not graded right...PCI had graded one VF that I don't think hit F...more like a high end VG.

Hi Speedy! How have you been? I picked up the Fugio on an Auction By Early American a few months back. It is a PCGS VF35. I'll keep my eyes open. Mike

Just for the info, the Dutch colonial is;
1 duit 1790, from the mintmaster M. Lohse
Mintmastersighn is a cornplant bethween two stars.
This serie is minted from 1785 untill 1794.

Was that Cavarly sword in the same auction as the coins?

Thanks Carl! Longnine009, I did buy the Sword off of a guy who sells coins and collects and sells Civil War stuff as well. It came with a book on Swords of the Civil War and is clearly identified in the text with great pictures! It was imported from Austria and was actually sold to both the North and South! It came with a bunch of letters and expert opinions on whether it was a Yankee or Confederate Model. It turned out it was Union. On the Pet issue, my Avatars for a little while are going to be showing the Pets we keep in the basement! LOL. Thanks for the input guys. Mike

No thanks Mike, always welkom, the information comes from the Zonnebloem Catalog, I might have that one double, last print is 1988, but the information in this little book is pure abouth the V.O.C. and Netherlands Indies, from the period of 1594 till 1949 (after that we lost the indies).

If you, or annyone else needs more information on this point, just give me a note, so I can provide you with the info abouth them.
(Not in the next week, on saturday my wife and I leave for a week for a trip to Germany, France and Luxembourg).
