allranger Pillar of the Community United States 1391 Posts	Posted 01/18/2014 2:07 pm You should probably post both sides. Looking at them now, the left three are 1 Fanams from Cochin, KM# 10. The style of the legs on the one to the far left is different than others that I have seen. The legs have very circular dots. The head and ears are also different. They have no dates on them and were produced from 1795-1850 officially (but circulated long after that). There are also a lot of variations in the dies. They were produced long after that and are even produced today using the good old fashioned smash the dies together with a hammer method. Most of the modern ones are used as jewelry or decoration and made out of good gold. Because of these problems I sometimes see them for sale at bullion value at coin shops. The one on the right I have no idea. Posting pics of the other side will help. The dies for these small coins were often larger than the coin itself so seeing the other side will help to match.
