I did a combined purchase with an other CC-member and had to wait almost 3 weeks after I won the auction. Its rated scarce (that sounds always good) and I like the reverse although the details are not that sharp. This coin probably refers to the finish of the campaigns against those 'thick headed' northern tribes in Britain ! For the most part Antoninus was a man of peace. But even a saint has his limits ! FVRIVS RVFVS Pillar of the Community United States 3446 Posts	Posted 02/15/2014 06:10 am The reverse shows a bit of roughness but the details are still quite evident. The legend is intact and the wings of Victory are still visible. Her dress shows many folds and the feet are clear. I mention these as the outer edges are usually the first to wear smooth. Pius himself is very detailed still and even his head shows the jaw line and eye. It will never be an XF but I think it will have more eye appeal with some TLC. Many of the issues of Pius are very common (affordable too !) He had a long and mostly peaceful reign. The rare types are the ones with military references. You can always trade up at some later time. Very desirable coin for the price. Report this Post to the Staff
