I still have a $100 dollar bill that was dated about 1935. I've owned it for about 25 years, and it's probably gone up in value about 25% over that time. Definately not a good investment on my part. I still like the bill, but like somebody else said, I could have invested that $100 in about a million different things that would have gone up more in value.
