Early today I posted a link with my new 2015 year of the Goat coin. So far it has had 155 looks with no replies.
Got me thinking that there may not be very many CCF members collecting them.
I have a set 1oz coins from 2008 - 2015.
I know they are a premium bullion coin, but there must be some that also like them.
Hoping for some opinions on this series.

I've got a 1oz collection of the series as well. Neat series. I've been picking up the lunar series 1 as well.

abliss glad to hear someone else is collecting these.
At the LCS's in my area when these coins come in, the don't stay in the case very long.
They do have a high premium, but I really like the design.
I do not see many of the series I coins, but would buy them If they come I local.

Im a big fan of the series and try to pick up the 1/2, , 1 oz,2 oz and 5 oz as they are released. The earlier years have gone up in price significantly so if you like the series, get the pieces you like as they are issued.

I have gotten the 1/4 gold year of the dragon, snake and horse. I decided that I would get these every year. I havent decided if I want to go ahead and get the 1/4 gold year of the goat or let the prices keep falling and wait until 2015.

I have seen some of the 1/4oz gold "year of" coins, I think they look great. They were in a box similar to the one I have.
I could see me getting some of the gold ones ...but right now I have a lot of other coins I want on my list.

I collect this series too, the one thing I don't like about is that the font of that Chinese character changed between year of tiger and rabbit. the cow and tiger in Chinese are more like handwriting, the rest are just normal font.

I just started stacking this year and I just ordered my first lunar series coin yesterday, the 2oz goat. I've read in other forums that the two coins on either side of the 1oz (1/2oz and 2oz) have the best appreciation potential. They are minted to demand so that fact they would possibly have the greatest potential is counterintuitive to me, but I'm still learning.

Just saw this thread...yes, love this series. I have all of them in the 1 ounce variety and will continue to collect them (ll series). Anything from the Perth Mint is beautiful. Liked the 2014 Year of the Horse so much, my wife got me the 10 ounce version for my birthday. Beautiful piece of silver.

This is the only one I got, a friend of mine loves dragons so I might sell it to him, when silver prices go back up
