Hello,
I reverentl became intersted in coins, coin history, and my nLincoln's face all. I still have lots to learn. I'm really getting a kick out of the fact that I never liked history, til about 4months ago I came across a weird coin, researched it, and got researchIm not looking to get rich, I like the idea of have possession my own little historial ow if I do in fact have in my possession a real treasure and not just funny looking coins lol. With that said. How do I know my coins have true value, and the collector's attention?

NOTE: I will post pictures later because my camera is bad :(
But I will provide as much information as I can.

#1- 1990 ( no mint mark) red penny OBVERSE: shadowing on the right of lincoln's face all the way down to his neck, 3 tiny engraved letters on the left bottom of Lincoln's suit, and some faint numbers above the year 1990. REVERSE: engraving of "fg", faint "A" on after at the end of the word AMERICA, and a raised border like line creating in the middle of the words AMERICA and CENT.

1983 penny- OBVERSE: no mint mark, a small 8 in 1983, a raised bumpy border (only on liberty side of coin), a cluster of bumpy dots above year, 3 letter engraving is there, and double earlobe. REVERSE: "fg" engraving, double E on the word STATES, and a "P" above the B of the word PLURIBUS (it could be a P or B), and also there's doubling on the S of the word PLURIBUS.

I also have this 1965 Washington quarter no mint mark with a faint but readable year of 1895?! lol and very copper color, "IN GOD WE TRUST" ("I" is overlapping N), and under the word TRUST is a very clear number 25. REVERSE: in the word UNITED "N" is overlapping "U", and rright eagle wing is double.

Have lots more that will share later. But first see if anybody can help me with this :)

If you have a scanner you can sometimes get a decent result. Try white or black backgrounds

I've always said that a dumb-phone does what a dumb-phone do! I had one of those once: had a mind of its own!

the mix here Eva! Many CCF members here to help you with your questions. Looking forward to your pictures; John's link is a good place to start but don't be shy about posting your works-in-progress. Many here have a good eye 'filter' and might be able to steer you in the right direction. Good luck!!

Below the box you type your message is a hyperlink Upload Image (small camera icon in front of it). Click on that. This will take you to another pop up box where you can Browse to find you picture on your computer. It has to be under 100K to upload so if your file is larger, use the Free Image Optimizer (the hyperlink is just below Upload Image). There you can resize your picture to be under 100K. Download that image to your computer. It should save to the same file folder you accessed initially for your picture. It'll be subscripted with opt.
