Got a parkway today
Very nice!

Move than halfway through the year and I have not seen a 2015 coin in change.

Got five rolls of Parkways last Friday accidentally. I was looking to get circulated rolls to look for some ATBs missing from my set, and I discovered the rolls they gave me were original Parkways. I hate to break one open just to fill a single hole. I stashed the rolls and will wait for a single for the hole.

I do not like thee, Mr. LSC...

No, I do not. Sure, the shield design is nice, clean and simple, and Abe is as ever, but the materials? Ugh.

1) Zinc is simply too reactive, in my opinion. Good for alloying, maybe (though brass recyclers need to add more, as it boils off in the melt) but not as a coinage metal.

2) Not enough copper plating. 625 micro-grams? Too thin, a mere scratch and the zinc is exposed. Bingo, black crap.

No, it simply will not serve, gentlemen.

UNLESS... Your intent is planned obsolescence, and you want the things to fall apart.

Please, go to a high copper/nickel mix. Or even brass.

And quit show business?

I never speak ill if the LMC, though. Proper coin.

Speaking of which, from out of my pocket pops a 200-P LMC in spectacular condition. Been hiding somewhere, he has:

2015-Coins

Contrast pushed to show scratches, sorry about the fringed steps. Scanner. What are ya gonna do?

I got a BRP yesterday and a Kisatchie today. My wife plucked the BRP out of my hand for her album before I could protest. Oh well, there will be others. And she's happy, so I'm happy.

Someone must be pulling the Philly Homestead quarters out of circ. I live an hour and a half from the mint and have yet to get one in circulation. Got a dozen or so Kisatchie, and one Blue Ridge Parkway, but the one and only Homestead I've found is a Denver!

Got a brand spanking new Parkway quarter yesterday; fresh from the roll at the store. Clerk had to break the roll open, coins had that new shine to them.

My daughter just gave me a gorgeous Nebraska Homestead (D) that she found in her tip pile. That makes four 2015 quarters for 2015 so far (both P and D Nebraska, a P Louisiana, and a D North Carolina). Also have found both cents and both dimes; but no nickels yet.
