As far back as I can remember I've lived with the belief that what you do for someone will come back to you. This brief message emphasizes that.
Some of you may recall that recently I donated some of my collection to a very worthy cause - the good that came from that simple act is: My cousin came over from Indiana this past week to visit, and, brought 3 coins that he has had for a long time - he's not a collector - just had the coins put away in a drawer ('cause he thought they were cool), knew that I collect coins, and decided to give them to me the next time he came for a visit.
Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised when I got them. I've included scans of the coins.
I think it's pretty cool the way it happened, and wanted to share the story and scans of the coins with y'all.

I think thats cool and a shock when you saw that Bust Half, unless he mentiomed the date beforehand.

No - I had no idea what coins he intended to give me - just said he had some old coins I might be interested in. I was, mnost definitely interested in the ones he gave me. Like I said =- good breeds good.
Yes, the 1839 capped bust half dollar was a total surprise, and I'm still reeling from that one.
