Incorrect Minting Year On 25 Cents - Coin Community Forum

adbonnar New Member Canada 4 Posts	Posted 12/13/2007 09:15 am I have discovered that I have a olympic hockey quarter that is minted this year (2007). However, looking at the minting year impressed on the back of the coin, it says 2009! Is this a minting error for this coin? Any advice on what to do with it? Thanks in advance for your input. TheForce Pillar of the Community United States 4870 Posts	Posted 12/13/2007 09:18 am It's not an error. It's part of the olympic series. I have not bought a set of these yet but I find it highly unusual that the RCM dates coins for the future. Report this Post to the Staff
adbonnar New Member Canada 4 Posts	Posted 12/13/2007 09:32 am Sorry, I should clarify, the coin is the Ice Sledge Hockey coin. According to the RCM, the coin will not be released until June 2009. But, I found it in my spare change. Report this Post to the Staff
