Hi, I found this 96 in my change I imagine its PMD but the scratches are quite unusual . Also I have a 2007 (picture has two 2007's side by side)that is fairly thin and the edges are a little rounded on one the other has sharp edges. Both 07's have about the same wear, opinions

The 1996 looks like somebody was playing with a knife! Is the main part of the 2007 actually thinner or is it just the rims?

Went and found my calipers ,there is a bit of a difference the one with the rounded edge is. 065 the sharp edge is. 068 not alot but because of the rounded edge it does make it appear thinner .As I said both coins appear to have the same amount of wear on the obverse and reverse so is one a different variety or maybe it was used more in a vending machine than the other causing different wear?

Yes, I would guess it was used in such a way that the rims took the brunt of it.
