I don't collect this series and don't have them in any of my collections. I say this, because I know very little about them. This coin is my brother-in-laws and it's just been sitting in a box out in his garage.

I wanted to see what others thought about it's possible grade, surfaces, and variety. Thanks for any input and help.

A common issue in the series, readily available in higher grades.

I'm not seeing any wear per se, and it looks to be remarkably free of bagmarks, but the nature of the toning suggests an old cleaning to me, so I'm inclined to call it "uncirculated - details".

I agree with lucky for the most part however with the clean pullaway under the 8's, the stars and slightly around some letters I'd have to call the toning natural although that reverse does kinda give the impression of an old cleaning

I see it as UNC Details as well,
Seems to be re-toned from an old cleaning.

It looks MS, probably around MS-63.

Yeah, imo it's such a nice coin, I'll stay away from details for now. Not sure what the nice color is hiding, but have to say at least MS63 and possibly higher.
