Hello,

I recently bought this coin at auction.
What do you think of the grade?

Thanks in advance!

VF-35.
The eagle and the wreath show high point wear but the coin is in very good shape over all. Hopefully whatever that brown gunk is will come off with an acetone bath.
Very cool coin. We don't see very many of these.

Looks like obverse 5, reverse H. Has a rarity rating of R2. Nice snag and hopefully that gunk will come off.

There is not really much wear on this coin at all but the spots and the dull reverse limit it's salability to probably XF level. The body of the eagle is in such high relief that coins in grades higher than XF often show lack of detail on the feathers.
A very nice acquisition.

I agree completely. This looks AU to me... maybe 55, but the spots put the market value at XF numbers. Not much wear on the coin that I can see from the photos provided. Better photos could change my opinion either way.

I think you're Feuchtwanger shows less wear than mine does. I'm really liking your token!

Thanks for all your replies!

I'm really happy with this coin as it is my first hard times token. Coins like this are really hard to find here in the Netherlands.

I paid around $130 for it including all auction costs and shipping, may not be a really great deal but I'm nevertheless really happy with it
