I would think it is genuine based on a well versed seller in coins and 100% positive feedback and a high number also. And yes it's melt value is under $60 and with the hole I'm guessing that is what is keeping someone from bidding. I would bid....less the hole in it.

It's a common date, heavily worn, holed and damaged coin. I wouldn't want it for my collection and if I did buy it, I wouldn't pay a cent over melt for it.

Spot price is not even 50 dollars. Think of the % of its weight loss from the hole.

The loss of weight from the hole may be minimal if it was pierced and drilled out. Piercing the hole would "cold work" the material by making it denser at the inside diameter of the hole, not necessarily removing material. Best way to find out...weigh it.
