Ive found 5 in the last two weeks in about $400 worth of 20c...

Easiest way I have found is grab two 2004's! The small heads are EASY to spot next to a 2005 or 2006, then compare the small head! the big head 2004 stands out!

Ben,
I will let you know if/when I have some more spares. Maybe a swap for some CoFs?

Sounds good Jeff! Justa I'll be generous and say 45 large heads . Zaggy finding 5 in $200 worth is well above my recent average of about 1.5 per $200

They must have all migrated to Zagg's territory.

Since Jun 07, I've searched well over $2000 X 20¢, and I didn't keep stats for the previous 3- 4 years, so Jeff or Ben, get your maths head working.

In all those coins I've only ever found 5 Large Heads. Compared to Zaggy, that's very poor results. Even compared to Ben's avarage it's pretty crook.

Where abouts are you Zaggy? Just the general area will do.

Pulled another 2 Big Heads today! So does anyone have any approx mintages for them? I find it hard to believe I cant complete a 2001 CoF set, of coins that definately are not 'scarce', yet I can pull 7 Big heads in about 2 weeks!

Does anyone get the feeling that 2007 50 cents mintages are on the rise? I do...

I agree! Total Nonesense! The Law of Averages kinda suggests that coins are going to very quickly average out across all area's! Unfortunately, I don't think were seeing that!

Maccas says 400,000 for big heads and CoF were all 2,000,000 or a little more.
I think a lot of people keep Centenary coins because;
· They are attractive
· They are different and noticeable
Same with Bradmans and UN anniversary, I suspect.

They don't keep big heads because they have never heard of them and never actually studied the coins closely.
