Seems a little high for the gold prices right now. I saw this morning that APMEX on ebay is selling 1oz Gold Eagles for $1,154.79 and 1oz American Buffalos for $1146.79. |

I'd pass. All the reputable PM sites out there are selling these for $25 less with the free shipping.

That's a good price from APMEX through ebay, so I wonder if they also think price of gold will drop next week FOMC? |

Do most people here stick to one kind of bullion or do you mix it up? Right now I only have eagles and was wondering if I should add some other coins, maybe some bars when the time comes for my next purchase. I'm mostly buying for long term investment.

I'm sticking with silver right now Padeen. Mostly 300 eagles but a few small bars as well. As far as PMs go you can't beat American Eagles for liquidity/recognition just don't pay big premiums for them. Now when I had more gold I loved classic U.S. Double Eagles (G$20) and Eagles (G$10). Here's a pic of my gold stash from 2009. Not bragging because it's all been sold or traded.  Edited by BH1964

That's was some really nice stash you got there BH!
I remembered I sold quite a few in order to help pay for my kids college tuition among other things, glad I owned gold when it was cheap. I wouldn't mind if I buy more now if prices continues to go low?
