Ok my long list of suggestions.

CONTESTS
-Contest Type A (Written Essay)
-Firstly, We are give a coins name and no information on it. We will have a US type Contest first Month and World Type contest the month after for the Darksiders.
-We will be given a coins name. The contest rules will be there and info. We are given what to write in this essay. Who got the design? Where was the first edition made? What it represents? Whats special about it?
-The author of the contest will be the judge and all participents will have to write an essay on the info of the coin. After a 2 weeks of start the judges wont mark anymore and give a result of 1st, 2nd and 3rd, accordingly prizes will differ in value.
-Contest Type B (Picture Perfect)
-The author gives the contest details and info. This is every 2 weeks and each time its Us and world.
-He posts a picture without any date or mintmark. We are meant to guess the Mintmark and date. The author gives us maybe a 40-50 year range.
-The prize will be the coin showed in the picture.

Rewards

There is a Coin Community special gift that awards people every month for:
-Honesty- Honesty to other members of Community
-Friendliness-Kindness to other members.
-Generous-Generousity, doesn't have to mean giving coins to beginners it aslo means advise
-Most informative person-ives alot of Information for others to learn from.
-Member of The month

Awards will vary between prizes, like Member of the Month receives best award. This could happen every month or two months or a mega prize distribution at end of year that include many many more prizes, contests, maybe other stuff like software packages, books and etc....

This is just my suggestion hope you like it!!!

Tell me what you think!

Thanks
TheKid!

Patience, kidcollector. A good idea such as this needs to be nurtured and given time to grow; also, you posted the idea on a weekend when many are out carousing or participating in other ventures. I'm personally not too much into contesting, but your idea has merit. I'm not sure about the essay, however - many of us have jobs, families, and other outside endeavors which wouldn't permit much time to put into researching and writing an essay. Your Type B ("Picture Perfect") would be more suitable for us, in my opinion. A thought: why not give it a trial run (with no prize) and post a sample contest picture? In this manner, you might be able to work out any unforeseen bugs.

Hey Kidcollector,, whats the rush !!!

I like Fred believe that most folks are a little busy for the essay, not to say that with enough time I'm sure that most could grind something out !!

Freds suggestion is good !! you may want to consider it !!
