Missing Letters On 1879 Cent - Coin Community Forum

Welches New Member Barbados 2 Posts	Posted 01/21/2016 8:33 pm I bought this coin years ago and kind of forgot about it. The letters "ONE CENT" are missing. Is it likely it was struck that way or more likely they were deliberately removed? This is my first post. Report this Post to the Staff

I wonder if somebody ground the "one cent" off to make a love token, but never got around to doing it? Report this Post to the Staff
