I've only been hunting rolls from various credit unions bc for whatever reason I think that I'm more likely to find better coins from rolls that credit unions members cash in.

Do you find this to be true or no?

It is truly a Hit or Miss. One time I got 3 CWR of Dimes from my local cu and found 12 silvers including a 1897 Barber in one roll. It can also depend on where you live and the people who bring the coins to the cu.

I've roll hunted since about 1975. Makes no difference customer or machine-wrapped. I did switch to customer rolled last couple years because I was doing volume, and the chance for solid silver rolls greater. Found probably 20+ solids.

Ok. Thanks.

Tomorrow I'll try a box from a nationwide bank.

I don't think it matters where you get them, but I always buy from Brinks and dump with Loomis. I know others in this thread buy and dump at the same bank and still get great boxes, but I'm too scared of getting back my own coins. I look forward to my 6-box Wednesdays like Christmas morning, and I'd hate to start blaming all of my skunk boxes on myself!
