So this buyer messaged me that he wants me to leave him feedback before he leaves me feedback. I know that's the way a lot of sellers work, but I'm more comfortable waiting for buyer feedback, then I'll leave it for them. So I returned the message politely explaining. Anyway, people are funny. Anyone have a similar or different funny experience?

There was an ebay coin buyer a few years ago who left all sellers negative feedback if they did not leave them positive feedback after payment. Since sellers cannot leave negative feedback I go ahead and leave feedback once the buyer has paid (prompt) payment.

Good point, there's not much a seller can do anyway, might be time to change my thinking on this.

for me when I was selling, I would always leave feedback once the item was paid for. as a seller, you can only really comment on if the buyer pays quickly. the feedback is and always has more baring on the consumer, because if they feel that the item was not described or shown in pictures clearly (or deceptively) then they have the feedback avenue to express it.

(although I never sold coins)

I always leave a nice feedback first if they pay on time. there really is nothing you can do anyhow. Buyer has the last laugh.
I also have heard about and have seen a few buyers that will actually leave a negative comment for the seller when the seller does not leave feedback first.
Just leave the feedback, you can always leave follow up feedback if you get some negative comment or a neutral. no need to poke a potentially negative buyer. some buyers feel they are entitled to it. go figure.

Thanks for your replies. I have changed my thinking on this and now believe it's a good thing for a seller to leave immediate feedback for a prompt paying buyer. Have gone back and filled in my missing feedbacks for buyers.
