Incorrect jasper62.You can clearly see through the MM from front to back.The space is open,not a blob or hit MM.But thanks for your feedback.

Yes.if it were a blob or die chip,it would be solid.A hit MM would resemble a scrape or scratch.

A hit can also resemble an indention into the device as yours exhibits. That's what I'm seeing.Maybe someone else can see what I'm not seeing

Then why is the left side of the mint mark pushed in compared with the right side of the mint mark? It is PSD. The over all shape is there, just the hit that altered is what we are looking at. If you did a side by side of that mint mark and another one side by side you will see that is the case?

I will agree to disagree,for the moment.I will be visiting a coin shop next week,hopefully to pick up my 64 SMS Quarter & SMS Cent.I will bring a few little things like this to converse over.Thanks for all the replies.

Here is a side by side of a normal mint mark and your mint mark.
