This would be a classic case of Machine Doubling. The doubling is shelf like and on a doubled die it would not be. Also on a double die the devices will be larger than normal and on Machine Doubling the devices seem smaller. Not worth any more than face unless it is an older date which I cannot tell. You could keep it as a reference or just as an example of one if this is your first find.

Also on the older dates of nickels, the mint mark was hand punched into the die so on a doubled die the mintmark would not be doubled unless the doubled die was paired with a re-punched mintmark.
