As with any gold coins, I would like to do in hand test on it.

Looking at the last two pictures, the coins has a look of a gold
coin that has been in jewelry. Lots of nicks and bumps. The rim
looks a little flat, like the coin might have been a bezel.

Other than that ... To me ... It looks like a authentic coin.

It's authentic in my opinion. Note the doubled "7". I have the same variety in my collection. That would be hard to duplicate in a fake. PG

Looks real to me.

Note that at that price ($380), nobody in the world has decided to bid on this coin.

Don't buck the trend.

For $380 you can get a much nicer one at many local coin stores and get a better idea of real vs fake in hand.

It looks real to me, and $359.99 is a typical price for the condition. Good stacker or pocket coin, or hole filler if you need a pre motto lib.

i like that coin. I like the doubled 184(7) and obviously a known die marriage (Thanks Paleoguy )

Could be worth the money for the grade and type coin. I am not convinced its cleaned badly at all. I am also not sure its ex-jewelry and maybe has just been over handled in many collections.

I'd like it in-hand to examine it and may take a shot considering the return policy.

Look real, and possibly not cleaned. Terrible pics though. Sometimes lighting (using a harsh flash) can make a coin look cleaned.

So nobody bid at $380, they relisted at $360, and it went for $398 in less than 2 days. Huh.

Common with ebay the first bidder validates the item. Once I see you bid $360 it validates to me, subconsciously, that the coin is worth at least $360 and I can bid more.
