What kind of value would you put on this large cent in the lowball collectors world? Curious to what others think.

Lots of competition for early large cent Lo Ballers. Regardless, that's a choice planchet worth F02 prices to me...

Can the variety be determined?

IMHO, $75-$100 is reasonable, lacking sufficient die markers to determine the variety. The holder is useless, as this would simply be a filler in a year set.

I don't think EAC stuff applies to the lowball world. Either way, nice large cent!

These are desirable, maybe not $200, but probably $150.

If you get two lowballers bidding on it, sky's the limit.

For the sake of comparison, here are two 1795's on ebay that presently have BIN's of $100 and $190, respectively. As usual, the reverses are about gone, undamaged ...

Nice examples, ExoGuy. I'd say around $100, assuming the reverse is just worn but not damaged.

Sky's the limit, it's already gotten a PO1. There's no speculating if it will make a poor 1, it is. Yes, the plastic is everything when it comes to lowballs.
