1934 California Peace Dollar Grading

Is the black spot on the upper reverse dirt, a planchet defect or damage, and if the latter two, will it warrant a no-grade? Report this Post to the Staff

Imthealphaomega Pillar of the Community United States 3210 Posts	Posted 10/08/2016 11:17 am 34S is only worth grading if it is AU or better.....that's when the value goes up to around $450-$500 and up. It is actually common to see them in xf and below as not many were saved and the vast majority circulated, unlike the 1921 and 1928, where there are thousands of mint state pieces available.
