Here are my first two coins of my certified MS Peace dollar set. The toning on the 1926-S looks really great, IMO. I'm really looking forward to putting together this set!

Merry Christmas!

Did you think about buying the key dates first. They are all pretty affordable except for the 34-S. There are only maybe four of them. I know laying out $500 Plus can sting a little bit but there are at least four dates of less than one million mintage. I know people who have been waiting for years for the public to catch on that these coins may be some of the most undervalued coins around compared to the Morgans for instance. I like your idea!

Terry:

Yes. My plan is to grab the keys first. However I was traveling and stopped into a coin shop. He had these two $20-$30 under book value and I really liked them. Going forward, I'm going to focus on the keys (I hope). :)

Nice looking 26 - too bad for the chatter marks on her cheek!

For a 64 that is an absolute minimum of chatter.

Job well done on the 26 S as the coin has attractive toning. If you paid under book for the 26 S, you made a good buy.
